Luminous Tease!

*Change yourself in the way you want everyone else to change
Love your enemies in case your friends turn out to be jerks
Avoid thinking about winning the lottery while making love
Brainwash yourself before someone nasty beats you to it
Confess big secrets to people who aren't very interested
Write a love letter to your evil twin during a lunar eclipse
Fool the tricky red beasts guarding the Wheels of Time
Locate the master codex and add erudite graffiti to it
Dream up wilder, wetter, more interesting problems
Change your name every day for a thousand days
Exaggerate your flaws till they turn into virtues
Kill the apocalypse and annihilate Armageddon
Brag about what you can't do and don't have
Get a vanity license plate that reads KZMYAZ
Bow down to the greatest mystery you know
Make fun of people who make fun of people
See how far you can spit a mouthful of beer
Pick blackberries naked in the pouring rain
Scare yourself with how beautiful you are
Simulate global warming into your pants
Stage a slow-motion water balloon fight
Pretend your wounds are exotic tattoos
Sing anarchist lullabies to lesbian trees
Plunge butcher knives into accordions
Commit a crime that breaks no laws
Sip the tears of someone you love
Build a plush orphanage in Minsk
Feel sorry for a devious lawyer
Rebel against your horoscope
Give yourself another chance
Write your autohagiography
Play games with no rules
Teach animals to dance
Trick your nightmares
Relax and go deeper
Dream like stones
Mock your fears
Drink the sun
Sing love
Be mojo
Do jigs
!
Love!*

TORONTO, CANADA

What does a girl do when she misses her flight?

I found myself in minus 4 degrees in the middle of Winterlicious Toronto! The locals laugh & consider this to be warm. After complications with my visa to LA, I found solace in an alternate route to Sydney via Toronto flying Air Canada from Havana. Tired, broke & hungry I arrived at 10.30pm in snow like conditions after 9 days in sunny Cuba! Secretly, I hoped for the little comforts that was missing in Cuba; like reliable showers, telecommunications, newspapers, magazines, internet access, and variety of food choices, telecommunications, merchandise, cable TV, and toilet paper...

Booking accommodation in Toronto was super easy! The touch screen teleports provided tourist information and was accessible at the terminal upon arrival. I booked the Bond Palace Hotel, Dundas st for  $79 + tax in the heart of down town. I was a stone's throw away from shopping mecca, bars, cafes, museums, heritage buildings. The express airport shuttle bus dropped you off at every possible hotel for $32 return. Toronto with it's bright neon lights, model billboards, towering skyscrapers have all the glitter that New York has!  The City of Toronto is the cultural, entertainment and financial capital of Canada. The city is home to more than 2.7 million people and growing!

The locals have a high quality of life with reliable services, in one of the safest urban environments around. The subway came alive at 7am, buzzing with cafes, boutiques, a great way to people watch and my favourite spots were St Lawrence Markets, a trendy flea market with over 120 specialty vendors it was voted in the top 25 best international markets in Food & Wine magazine.

CAYE CAULKER, Belize

Lobster, Rum Punch and Reggae!!!

The girl is finally home after a world roam with a rather ubiquitous taste in her mouth. It's a flavour of pure craving! Wanting so deliciously to be satisfied once more! After having a rolodex of kick ass memories in Mexico that have raised the bar higher! How can any country come close? Leaving her indifferent to the average. – She than remembers Caye Caulker, Belize. Located one mile west of Belize Barrier Reef, is a an four mile long island, part of a chain of islands forming the Belize Barrier Reef.
With a population of 1,300 and growing, impressively rich with cultural diversity, ecological sites & history. This island is the bonanza buffet of the Caribbean! It's famous for it's world class diving spot the "Blue Hole.  Caye Caulker fulfilled my every whim! Framed with Shady Palm trees surrounded by Turquoise seas, underneath its bed of blue waters lie candy coloured corals and luminous marine life. No wonder this island has pull power.

The diving is magical, a whole world awaits you!  I braved the water and swam with baracudas. tiger sharks, sting rays. If you're a nature lover, the tour guides can arrange full day trips for $20-35USD to see manatees, jungle trips up the rivers of the mainland, where orchids, bromeliads, cactus, a variety of birds, monkeys, bats and other wildlife awaits you. For others interested in bird watching, you will likely see green Aztec parakeets, Ringed Kingfishers and tropical Mocking birds, there are hundreds of varieties on this gem of an island.
For the discerning food critic, the cuisine is an amalgamation of all ethnicities, and unlike some parts of Central America. have a wide variety. Breakfast consists of bread or mayan inspired flour tortillas, fry jacks that are often homemade. It is eaten with various cheeses, refried beans, various forms of eggs or cereal, served with leche, tea or coffee. Lunch meals vary, from lighter foods such as fruit salads, burgers to rice with black beans with coconut milk or spicy Tamales panades bought on the chicken buses. My preference was the abundance of affordable mouth-watering seafood range…ceviche, curried shrimp, lobster served with coleslaw and coconut rice, all this accompanied with sparkling sea views and Bob Marley crooning one Love!

Let's not forget the locals irresitable rum punch! The locals, call it the drink of paradise!
Swaying on a hammock under a shady palm tree marvelling at the blueness of the sky I loose track of time all my worries washed away. Three days,  I indulged & bulged morning, noon & night!I couldn't be happier. I felt free, relaxed...and energized by this experience.
This place has the ability to make you feel you never want to leave and also beckoning a return! Pure paradise and so close to Mexico!! Two amazing countries for the price of one.....but don't take my word for it! You must discover this island for yourself!

One Love~*
